I have had the privilege of guiding some of the UK’s most talented teenage musicians, working with teams of instrumental teachers and coaches to create engaging and inspiring learning experiences that develop both personal and musical skills.

 

As Programmes Director for the National Youth Orchestra, I developed innovative programs that encouraged young people to explore orchestral music in new ways, all within supportive and empowering environments that foster growth. I designed a leadership training program and created opportunities for employment and development for students and early career musicians. One of my proudest achievements was transforming auditions and assessments from an experience of being tested into a culture of celebration of young talent, providing candidates with a welcoming atmosphere and place there they can learn. 

 

My work with schools ranged from tailoring bespoke workshops to orchestrating whole-school performances, always aiming to make music accessible and meaningful while connecting students and communities through enjoyable, engaging musical activities.

With a proven track record of leading engaging, empowering, and innovative environments, I am confident I can support education organisations in every aspect of their work.
